“Building Mental Resilience in Uncertain Times” by Dr. Braticevic proved to be exactly the workshop we (faculty, students, and staff) needed at the Dan School of Drama and Music at Queen’s University. So many members of our community commented on how much they found the workshop helpful in dealing with getting back to the in-person, on campus interactions in the post-pandemic reality. Dr. Braticevic’s eloquent delivery with easy-to-read graphics made the content accessible and engaging. Her level of true care for all participants’ comfort and well being made it a healing experience with long-lasting positive change. We look forward to having her back in the future."

"My team and I had the pleasure to offer Milena’s program 'Building Metal Resilience in Uncertain Times' to 200 agents, brokers, and underwriters. The workshop was one hour per week for four weeks. It was specifically created to build on the skills and knowledge learned over four weeks. Milena was engaging and responsive to our clients. She allowed time for exercises and sharing. This allowed people to interact with the content and make the program personal. The program gained rave reviews which was captured in our weekly surveys. Milena had a great impact on our customers and on our own team. Many people reported feeling calmer and more at peace in our high stress industry. Personally I found great value in the information learned and the experiential and meditation exercises."

Megan McDonald, VP Sales, MCAP

"Milena, you have developed a great program. Really loved the workshops and what you have done for the team. I feel it has been very, very beneficial for everyone. I think the team will be digesting and processing this for a long time. We had some follow up sessions scheduled internally. I am still seeing positive outcomes and real action items coming back from the team. Thank you."

"I had a great time at the workshop… I learned a lot about mental health, physical health, philosophy of mind and modern issues. I did not expect to learn so much about various aspects of life today, thinking we would only talk about anxiety superficially. Thoroughly enjoyed it… It made me realize I should put more importance on mental health and spirituality, and meditate more often in the future. I would recommend the workshop, because it was highly informative and teaches important lessons on mental health and overall wellbeing."

"I really enjoyed the workshop. I appreciated the flexibility of the online mode of delivery. It was great having access to a workshop on this topic without having to have been diagnosed with anxiety/depression. Milena created an accessible and open space for learning. I would recommend this workshop to others as it introduces a holistic understanding of health and wellbeing, and reflects on current patterns and ways of living. It can be helpful to all regardless of whether dealing with anxiety/depression."

E.L., Toronto

"I found the workshop very useful in understanding mental states and interpreting my experiences in a more holistic way. It was helpful to learn that there are alternative perspectives I could choose to adopt and view daily situations in more constructive ways. I especially enjoyed the meditations. Milena’s clarity, patience, and depth of knowledge made the workshop very valuable for me. I would recommend this workshop to others because it gives a new perspective on making meaning out of our circumstances, which can encourage more constructive choices."

"I enjoyed the workshop. I found the one-hour commitment to be very reasonable and the structure of each session was conducive to my understanding of the material. I would recommend it to others as it is a well-structured workshop series that had positive mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits for me."

J.G., Toronto

"Overall, I enjoyed this workshop. It covered topics I had never heard of or knew much about, while most things that I participated in related to mental health previously were the same concepts over and over just framed in a different way. I liked that this practice focused more on spirituality and philosophy of mind… I think most people have the same experience, that they’re trying out programs and it’s all the same... I would recommend this program to everyone as it is something new to try!"

"I joined the workshop wary and sceptical, but I had an open mind. I knew I could benefit from some form of therapy. I have been going through career, lifestyle and personal changes and my emotions were becoming overwhelming. This program has helped me to manage my life better and to appreciate it more. I am more at peace. Thank you. I used to feel overwhelmed and now I feel confident in the work I must do… I think it was a small time commitment with a big impact on how I view the world and deal with problems. I continue to experience moments of stress, worry, and anxiety, but they aren’t crippling. The lectures were thought-provoking, and Milena was a good and patient teacher... This program was non-intimidating (possibly due to being group-based), and at a consistent time. The regular frequency of this workshop helped me to actually incorporate some of the lessons. I enjoyed learning. The program did not focus on my faults, it was very optimistic and positive."

"I noticed profound changes in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of my life since I started the workshop. My anxiety level has decreased and I am able to let go of thoughts on stressful situations easily. I feel connected to God spiritually. This gives me peace, stability and hope. I feel emotionally and mentally stable. I am able to be present in the moment and can hold conversations with people. This was a goal for me and I am so happy I am able to achieve it. I would always get distracted in the middle of conversations but now I am able to initiate and engage in one-on-one and group conversations. People have noticed a change in me. They tell me I look happier. I agree. I feel happier and more content with my life."
